Preparation

  • Roll out the pastry dough on the surface using a rolling pin. Cut it into equal-sized circles using a biscuit cutter.

  • Put the American Garden Chunky Peanut Butter and the chocolate granules in a heat-resistant bowl and then place it in the microwave for 30 seconds. Take the bowl out of the microwave and add the powdered sugar. Mix the mixture until it is incorporated.

  • Put about a teaspoon of the peanut butter mixture in the middle of circular dough. Close the dough over the filling to obtain a crescent shape; then press on the edge using a garnish fork. Repeat this step until the amount ends.

  • In a small bowl, whisk the egg with the milk. Place the calzones in a sheet lined with parchment paper and coat their top with the egg mixture. Place the sheet in the preheated oven at 205o for about 20 minutes until the calzones turn golden. Take out the sheet from the oven and leave it aside to cool. Serve the peanut butter and chocolate calzone dessert at room temperature.
